Colombian peso update – Tuesday, March 6

The Colombian peso weakened against the dollar Tuesday, with one dollar closing at 1,780.10 against 1,772.00 the day before.

According to Dow Jones, the sliding value was due to declining global stock markets and lower oil prices.

Over the past three months, the peso appreciated nearly 10%.
