Colombian Peso on a rebound

Colombia’s peso rose 2.3 percent to 2,326.8 per dollar Thursday,
from 2,380.05 the day before. 

The yield on the nation’s benchmark 11
percent bonds due in July 2020 declined for an eighth day,
sliding seven basis points, or 0.07 percentage point, to 9.4
percent, according to Colombia’s stock exchange. The price rose
0.518 centavo to 110.840 centavos per peso.

Colombia’s central bank will cut its overnight lending rate
by a full percentage point to 7 percent when policy makers meet
tomorrow, according to the median estimate of 29 economists in a
Bloomberg News survey.
