Colombian midfielder Molina moves to South Korea

Colombian midfielder Mauricio Molina has reached a deal to move from Brazil’s Santos to South Korean club Seongnam Ilhwa.

Molina is expected to travel to South Korea this week to finalize details on his transfer.

“The financial part played a role in my decision, I had to think of my family,” Molina told local media.

Financial details were not released.

Molina said he had already rejected an offer from the South
Korean club last year and decided to stay with Santos at the time.

“My heart is going to stay here,” Molina said.
“Santos has won another fan.”

The 28-year-old Molina scored 17 goals in 78 matches with
Santos since debuting with the two-time national champion in 2008. (AP)
