Colombian hackers promise new wave of attacks

A Colombian hacker group that recently penetrated a number of Colombian celebrities’ Twitter accounts has promised more attacks to come in the immediate future, La Fiscalia reported.

The group tweeted that they had compromised the accounts of a Colombian actor and that it would release e-mails of political significance.

Colombia has seen a remarkable amount of high-profile hacker activity in July, including an attack by hacker collective Anonymous that seized control of President Juan Manuel Santos’ Facebook page, ex-President Uribe’s twitter account, and the Department of Defense’s web page.

This group, which has targeted celebrities, is not believed to be related to Anonymous.
