Colombian government insists Macaco can be extradited

by Adriaan Alsema April 23, 2008

According to the government ‘Macaco’ can still respond to the victims through videoconferencing. The government said judge Marth Inés Montaña’s ruling is outside her jurisdiction.A judge ruled Tuesday that Macaco may not be extradited to the U.S. until he has answered for his crimes against humanity in Colombia. The U.S. want ‘Macaco’ jailed for drugs related crimes. After he has fulfilled his obligation of compensation and the Court feels he spoke the truth, he will be allowed to be extradited.
