“Colombian economy will continue to grow”

Economic authorities of Colombia say that even the recession in the United States won’t stop the strengthening of the Colombian economy.The government has calculated a five percent growth of Colombia’s Gross Domestic Product for 2008.The Minister feels secure about the sustainability of the growth for the medium and long term, because of good investments and consumption.Household consumption grew 7,5 percent in 2007, mostly because of a growth in jobs and better wages, Zuluaga says.
