‘Colombian delegation leaves Miss Universe angrily’

Colombia did not make it to the fifteen finalists
, a leading Dutch newspaper
reported Monday.

According to newspaper De Telegraaf, the delegations of Mexico and Colombia — both among the favorites before the main event Sunday — left the imperial ballroom of the Atlantis resort amid rumors that financial contributions to the event by finalists Venezuela and Puerto Rico had influenced the picking of the finalists.

Venezuela’s Stefania Fernandez won the event.
