Colombian police arrest drunk Venezuelan soldier

Colombian police arrested a Venezuelan sodlier who was found in uniform, armed and drunk on the Colombian side of the border.

According to a press release on the website of Colombian immigration and security agency DAS, the soldier had entered Colombian territory on Friday morning and was found in the city of Arauca, a town on the border of Venezuela.

The DAS said the Venezuelan soldier will be deported on Saturday and complained that a Colombian DAS official who had been arrested in Venezuela, has been in a Venezuelan jail for nine months without trial.
