Colombian beauty queen named world’s top model

by Camilla Pease-Watkin February 23, 2010

carolina rodriguez, bogota, top model of the world

Bogota supermodel Carolina Rodriguez has been awarded the prize for Top Model of the World, making her the first Colombian ever to win the prestigious award.

After competing in Germany against 42 of the world’s most dazzling beauties, the 24-year-old professional model clearly stood out from the crowd and attracted the attention of the intimidating panel of international judges from the World Beauty Organization.

However Rodriguez, who is also the current Cartagena Beauty Queen, isn’t only a pretty face and premium poser – she is also a recent university graduate in Social Communication studies and an avid music fan.

The young Latin looker walked away from the competition with a $20,000 necklace and $100,000 cheque for her successful efforts in the worldwide contest, as well as a year-long modeling contract to continue doing what she evidently does best.
