Colombian army seizes 6 tons of FARC explosives, arms

Colombia’s defense minister said Sunday the army has seized as much as six tons of explosives and arms allegedly belonging to the FARC.

According to the country’s Defense Minister Juan Carlos Pinzon, the “mega cache” was found near the village of Cartagena de Chaira in the southern Caqueta department.

The massive bust was made “in a camp that could house some 200 terrorists,” Pinzon said.

Initially, local and foreign media reported that the army had found 3 tons of explosives on Friday.
