Colombian army removes seven murdering soldiers

The seven military were handed over to the Attorney General’s Office. They are currently being charged with murder and conspiracy to commit an aggravated offence. According to the prosecution the uniforms were involved in the recent violent dispute between drug gangs “the Paisas” and the “Traquetos” in Córdoba.They are also investigated for the murder of four innocent local peasants, who were recorded as guerrillas killed in combat. The peasants proved to have no connections with the FARC whatsoever.Aside the seven soldiers, the police also arrested Solomon Feris Chadid, a former leader of the United Self-defense Forces of Colombia (AUC) and Mario Prada Cobos, former candidate for governor of Córdoba and ex-mayor of the town of Valencia.
