Colombian ambassador’s house burgled

A group of burglars broke into the Colombian Ambassador in Washington Carolina Barco’s residence and stole her laptop early Monday morning, but were arrested by U.S. authorities shortly after.

The burglars broke a window and entered the ambassador’s house, located in Dupont Circle in the U.S. capital city. They reportedly ransacked the house, but the laptop was the only thing stolen.

Barco alerted the police of the incident and U.S. Secret Service apprehended the burglars and recovered the computer, according to an embassy press release.

The ambassador was not hurt during the incident.
