Colombian ambassador to Vatican opposes gay adoption

The Colombian ambassador to the Vatican voiced his opposition to same-sex adoption in Colombia Thursday reported El Espectador.

“The criteria of a family is man, woman and child,” declared Ambassador Cesar Mauricio Velasquez, who also said that allowing gays to adopt would oblige a change of the concept of family in Colombia.

The ambassador’s announcement comes a day after the Constitutional Court announced it needs more time to decide on the issue.
