Colombia vs Ecuador in Madrid

Colombia and Ecuador will meet for a friendly soccer match in Spain in preparation for the Copa America, just four months away.

The neighboring countries will meet across the Atlantic on March 26 in the Vicente Calderon stadium in Madrid.

The cheapest tickets are selling for €10 and go on sale March 16.

The Copa America, arguably the most important soccer event in Latin America, is held every three years. The last time Colombia brought home the cup was in 2001, when they hosted the tournament.

Ecuador have yet to win the Copa America in the cup’s 95-year history, but have been host to it three times.

The Copa America begins July 1 and ends July 24, 2011 in Argentina.
