Colombia to send complete FARC video to OAS

Foreign Minister Jaime Bermudez said Tuesday Colombia will send the
Organization of American States an unedited version of the video
wherein FARC commander ‘Mono Jojoy’ talks about financial support for
current Ecuador President Rafael Correa.

OAS Secretary General Jose Miguel Insulza had said Monday the video that Colombia sent to the OAS misses the beginning.

“At
the beginning of the video there is a part missing” before the part
where ‘Mono Jojoy’ speaks about supporting the Correa presidential
campaign, Insulza told reporters in Washington. “I prefer [Colombia] to
hand it completely to form a better judgment,” the Secretary General
added.

Defense Minister Freddy Padilla initially denied Colombia sent an edited video. “The original video is complete. The media edited it, because originally it lasts an hour,” Padilla said.

But after having had contact with the OAS, Bermudez admitted Colombia had sent an edited version to the inter-American organization.
