The raid killed Reyes and 24 other guerrillas.Ecuador denounced the cross-border raid as a violation of its sovereignty and broke relations with Colombia. It has since pushed for precise information about the attack.Ecuador and Colombia have begun meetings, mediated by the Organization of American States, to restore relations.
