Colombia says seeks financing for 2009, 2010, 2011

Colombian President Álvaro Uribe
said on Wednesday his government was looking to secure
financing for 2009, 2010 and 2011 with help of the IMF and the
World Bank as emerging markets are roiled by the global
crisis.

He told reporters the government had lifted foreign capital
restrictions on TES bonds as it sought to secure liquidity for
the local economy and a staple, competitive interest rate. (Reuters)
