Colombia says formal goodbye to late goalkeeper Miguel Calero

Family, fellow players, and members of the community attended a formal religious ceremony to say goodbye to the late Colombia goalkeeper, Miguel Calero.

A special Catholic mass let loved ones, and teammates give a formal farewell.

National team goalkeeper Miguel Calero suffered from cerebral thrombosis, a condition where brain deterioration leads to a loss of consciousness and changes in mental patterns.

The goalie was hospitalized in November of 2012. By early December, he was declared dead after a stroke.

Calero was born in Ginebra, a small town in western Colombia. Ginebra is where the ceremony was held.
