Colombia police ruin Halloween for local pot trafficker

Police in northeastern Colombia on Wednesday ruined Halloween for a man who was caught trafficking 300 plastic pumpkins containing marijuana.

The 63-year-old suspect known as alias “El Mono” was arrested by police in the municipality of San Juan.

Following the arrest, Police said that the operation had been carried out with the cooperation of local citizens and was a timely seizure ahead of the Halloween celebrations.

Police added that this is a prime example of how drug traffickers and dealers are thinking of new ways to distribute the drug without detection from the authorities.

The man arrested faces eight to 12 years in prison if found guilty.
