Colombia is one of eight countries in the world where peoplesuffer the most from violence, the International Committee of the RedCross (ICRC) announced.
“There are millions of people who are fighting to feed their children, that were forced to leave their homes and day to day live in fear for being assassinated, assaulted or forcefully disappeared,” ICRC director Pierre Krahenbuhl said Sunday at the presentation of the document ‘Our World. Views from the field’.
Colombia is in the top eight of countries where people suffer most from violence, together with Afghanistan, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Georgia, Haiti, Lebanon, Liberia and the Philippenes.
The Red Cross announced an in-depth study of the eight countries at the end of August.
