Colombia market update – June 9, 2011

The Colcap fell 0.42% in trading Thursday on the heels of losses from Ecopetrol that dropped 0.87%.

Gruposura and Tablemac — respectively up 2.36% and 1.55% — each had strong days, but not quite enough to hold up the index.

Nutresa announced the approval from the Superintendencia to issue 25 million new shares at a price of COP$20,900. Bolsa y Renta is leading the issuance.

The peso returned to appreciating against the dollar as it close at 1,771.50.
