Colombia’s Colcap index increased for the third straight session Tuesday as it rose 0.45% on solid volume of COP$189.1 billion. Cementos Argos and Bancolombia helped lead the index higher with gains of 2.01% and 2.65%, respectively.
AviancaTaca was up 1.22% today on news that passengers in July increased 17% year over year, and is up 19% since January. Over the past year available seat kilometers has risen 24% on domestic flights and 12% on international flights, while occupancy for domestic flights has remained near 80% and 85% on international legs.
The peso was relatively unchanged at 1,786.70.
