Colombia making a splash in the videogames industry

Colombian businesses have been making waves in the videogames industry due to a steady increase in the number of engineering graduates the country has been producing.

This progression is reflected in the attendance of 19 Colombian videogames companies, including Teravision Games and 7Glabs, at the world’s largest Game Developers Conference (GDC) in the United States this year. The GDC unites around 20,000 programmers, artists, designers and businesses from various countries, making it an ideal location for Colombian companies to establish new contacts and collaborations with potential U.S. partners. Just recently, Teravision Games was purchased by U.S. company NDi Media, while 7Glabs and Disney recently partnered to produce content for mobile phones and other platforms.
