Colombia has made its largest repayment of domestic debt, a total of $6.1 billion, the country’s finance minister said Wednesday.
According to Caracol Radio, Minister Juan Carlos Echeverry said this was done to guarantee the confidence of national investors in the debt market.
The repayment took place between May 16 and 18 with interest amounting to $1.3 billion.
