Colombia’s exports grew 21% in 2010

A national business association reports that Colombia’s exports saw a 21% growth in 2010.

Caracol Radio reports that Colombian industry is experiencing positive developments, as reflected by production and sales reported in the industrial opinion survey produced by the National Association of Entrepreneurs of Colombia (ANDI).

According to the association’s president, Luis Carlos Villegas, the sectors with the best performance were sales and vehicle production, with increases of more than 30%.

2010 saw a sharp rebound in exports, with a 21.3% growth.

Also highlighted by the president of ANDI was the retail sector, which saw a 21.3% growth and a 10.8% increase in the approval of building permits in 2010.
