Colombia draws Peru 1-1

Defender Luis Nunez scored a 73rd minute equalizer to give Colombia a 1-1 draw with Peru in a friendly Wednesday.

Luis Ramirez gave Peru the lead in the 32nd minute.

Newly installed coaches Hernan Dario Gomez of Colombia and Sergio Markarian of Peru used the match to experiment ahead of next year’s Copa America. Neither team will be among the favorites in the continental championship where Brazil and Argentina always take top billing.

The game was played at Bogota‘s El Campin stadium before fewer than 3,000 fans.
