Colombia draw soccer friendly with United States

The international soccer friendly between the United States and Colombia, played on Tuesday, ended in a scoreless draw.

Four days after beating Ecuador 1-0 in another friendly, Colombia faced their next test against the USA at Chester, Pennsylvania’s PPL Park.

Manager Hernan Dario Gomez opted to field a number of experienced players for this game, most notably 39-year-old goalkeeper Faryd Mondragon.

The match was rather uneventful with neither side managing to make much of a difference.

The draw is Colombia’s third in 2010. Of the other four games, two were won and the other two ended in defeat.
