Colombia bans Spiderman masks for health risks

A brand of Spiderman masks sold in Colombia have been banned before Halloween as they pose a serious health risk to children, reported Caracol Radio Wednesday.

The Superintendency of Industry and Commerce declared the masks posed a risk to children as they did not include breathing holes, which could result in asphyxiation or even choking.

Anyone caught selling the specific Spiderman Classic Deluxe mask, manufactured by the costume design company Morai, could be fined up to a thousand monthly Colombian minimum wages, coming to approximately
