The four were arrested in Puerto Nariño on the Venezuelan border. They were caught carrying 40.000 ammunition magazines for AK-47 automatic rifles. They will be transferred to Bogotá and will be charged with the illegal transport smuggling of ammunition.
Colombia’s Chief Prosecutor Mario Iguarán told Caracol Radio the Venezuelan authorities immediately were informed of the arrest.
