Colombia and Venezuela look for two airplanes that mysteriously disappeared

Colombian and Venezuelan authorities are looking for two aircrafts
that mysteriously disappeared from the radar near the border of the two
countries.

Colombian authorities especially are on high alert, because the two airplanes disappeared close to the place where President Uribe Monday will celebrate the country’s Independence Day.

“Bucaramanga Police Commander told reporters authorities “do not discard the possibility the airplanes will be used in a terrorist attack.”

Local army commander  Jairo Alfonso Aponte told Caracol Radio his troops are talking tofarmers in the Arauca border region to see if the locals have seen any suspicious movement of persons of airplanes.

Meanwhile, authorities in Tame, where Uribe Monday will attend the Independence Day celebrations, are on highest alert for possible irregularities.
