Colombia and United States to meet in soccer friendly

The Colombian national soccer team has agreed to play an international friendly with the United States men’s team in October.

The match will be played at the home-ground of Major League Soccer side Philadelphia Union, in Chester, Pennsylvania.

The last time Colombia met with the USA, at the 2007 Copa America in Venezuela, the South Americans ended up winning 1-0. However, neither side would advance to the next round.

USA manager Bob Bradley commented on the upcoming friendly, calling it “one of the important parts of developing the program” for his team.

Colombia played their last friendly against Bolivia (1-1) on August 12. The United States hosted Brazil a day earlier and lost 0-2.
