Colombia, Ecuador foreign ministers meet

The foreign ministers from Colombia and Ecuador met in the border town of Ipiales Thursday to reinstate the Good Neighbor Commission between the two governments.

The central problem discussed between Colombian Foreign Minister Maria Angela Holguin and her Ecuadorean counterpart Ricardo Patiño concerned the tens of thousands of Colombians that have sought refuge in Ecuador in recent years.

A parallel meeting between more than 300 delegates from the Ministries of Econonomy, Energy, Transportation and Infrastructure is being held to discuss bilateral trade, security and energy exchange between the two South American nations.
