Following its victory over Bolivia Tuesday, Colombia ranks fourth in the standings of the South American qualifiers for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Bolivia 2 0 0 2 3 6 0

Because of the three points acquired in La Paz and despite having played one game less than 7 of the 9 competitors for qualification for the World, Colombia ranks above Peru, Chile, Venezuela, Paraguay and Bolivia.

The standing is topped by Uruguay, which gained four points in the two matches it has played so far.

Colombia’s next match is on November 11 against Venezuela.

The last game in the qualifier series is in Paraguay on October 15, 2013. They will play 16 games in total.

To be qualified for the World Cup, Colombia must end up in the top four of the South American qualifier series.
