Clinton to meet Uribe in Medellín

Bill Clinton, former U.S. President and husband of current U.S.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, will Saturday meet with Colombian
President Álvaro Uribe in Medellín.

According to Colombian Press Secretary César Mauricio Velásquez, Clinton will arrive in Colombia’s second largest city on Saturday afternoon, following a visit to one os the school built by Colombian pop star Shakira in her hometown Barranquilla.

Uribe will meet Clinton in Medellín’s Plaza Mayor where the former U.S. President is to speak during the 50th summit of the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) and the Colombian president is lobbying to promote investment in his country.

Clinton will also meet a delegation of leaders from the Afrocolombian community in the north of the Chocó department that benefit from Clinton’s Sustainable Growth initiative.
