Chicamocha National Park in north-east Colombia reported a 65.8% increase in visitors between 2008 and 2009.
Park managers stated that in 2009, 428,570 tourists visited the park, compared to 258,280 in 2008.
Officials anticipate an increase in visitors this year. Last month, 75,055 people visited the park compared to 57,000 visitors in January 2009.
Chicamocha is currently one of Colombia’s most popular tourist attractions.
