Central Colombia storm kills 1, leaves 17 homeless

Heavy storms in a central Colombian village have left one dead and 17 homeless.

The body of a 76-year-old woman washed up in the village of Morelia, Risaralda Department, despite rescue attempts by her four children.

The storm, which began early Thursday morning, forced 17 people from their homes. The homeless have received humanitarian aid and are currently being sheltered in another house in the village.
