Carles Puyol bags his own Colombian beauty

Spanish soccer star Carles Puyol has moved in on teammate Pique’s turf to score his own Colombian stunner.

Poor old Puyol has been perhaps the most influential defender in world soccer — captain of Barcelona and indispensable for Spain, world and European champion at club and international level, undeniably the rock upon which both teams base era-defining soccer.

Yet no matter how good his ball skills, this horse-faced warrior has remained permanently in the shadow of teammate Gerard Pique, whose relationship with Colombian superstar Shakira has dominated gossip rags around the world.

Well perhaps not any more, because the beast of Barcelona has finally bagged his own Colombian beauty.

Discontent with a mere pop princess, Puyol has gone one better and claimed himself a queen. Well, a carnival queen, anyway.

Giselle Lacouture Pacini, Baranquilla Carnival Queen 2010, declared herself “so in love with that ‘attractive’ guy that I wanted to go to Barcelona many many times.”

She’s definitely with him for his looks.
