Cali‘s indigenous population this month will lead the city in the celebration of the Inti-Raymi festival, an Incan celebration of the sun god Inti and the beginning of a new year.

Throughout the week, visitors to the city can explore indigenous artistry, photography and crafts, and attend ceremonies thoughout the city. A celebration kicking off July’s events will be held in the plaza early Thursday morning.

Festivities will continue throughout the weekend with music, folk dances and presentations at the Cristales theater.
