Cali to celebrate decade of AJAZZGO

by Angela González September 1, 2010

Colombia news - Ajazzgo

For the past ten years, Cali has submitted its title as the capital of salsa to celebrate its annual AJAZZGO festival in September.

Starting September 2, visitors to Cali will enjoy experimental and latin jazz rhythms. For the first time ever, jazz fans will have the opportunity to unite at the Javeriana University and compare collections starting September 3rd.

Artists from Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, France, Germany, Holland, Spain and the US will invade the city bringing jazz to the city of salsa. Performers at this year’s event include Grammy award winner Chucho Valdes, local groups JAZZTA, Herencia, Hollambia, a Holland-Colombian collaboration and Se Formo, a Colombo-German group.

The festival will conclude September 11th. To find out more about program scheduling, click here.
