Cali explosives attack leaves eight injured

Eight people were reported injured by what authorities say was a grenade attack in the south west of Colombia’s third largest city Cali.

According to local authorities, two grenades were thrown from a taxi to a recreational park located at Calle 70.

Two of the injured were children, hanging out in the park. All six victims were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Governor Juan Carlos Abadia told local newspaper El Pais that the perpetrators are believed to be newly recruited members of militias that are practicing with explosives.
