Cali tried to set a world record for the most people in Santa costumes riding bicycles, but missed the record by 6,800, newspaper El Pais reported on Monday.
Cali aimed at breaking the world record for the most people in Santa costumes riding bicycles. Unfortunately Cali only had 5,200 qualified participants and fell short of the world record of 12,000.
But Cali did break the world record for the most people exercising in one place with 192,000 people participating.
The city also had 65,000 cyclists forming the longest cycling line in the world.
“The judges of the Guinness World Records said that the 12 kilometer long bike path on Sunday was the longest line in the world for any sporting activity,” Carlos Serna, director of the cycling group said.
