The match between Cali and Medellín was pretty even, but the points eventually went to the home side. Pablo Batalla put the hosts ahead on seven minutes but Martínez converted a somewhat disputed penalty in the 31st.
Cali then went on to restore their advantage through Felipe Pardo on 68 minutes and Sergio Herrera added another two minutes later to end all doubts.
Boyacá Chicó, winners of the 2008 Copa Mustang I, added their second consecutive win in their home game with Santa Fé. Antonhy Tapias, also on target in the Copa Libertadores this week, scored the only goal of the match from a free kick in the 82nd minute.
La Equidad also maintained a 100 percent record, beating Once Caldas 2-3 in Manizalez. The Bogota outfit scored the opener through Efrain Viafara in the very first minute but Arial Carreño equalised in the 19th.
However, goals from Jherson Córdoba (29th) and Wilson Carpintero (79th) gave La Equidad a comfortable lead. Carreño scored for 2-3 on 85 minutes but Once Caldas lacked the time and strength to get another.
