Bomb discovered in Argentine venue where Uribe will speak

A bomb was found in the Argentine theater where ex-Colombian President Uribe is scheduled to speak Wednesday, reported media.

According to Argentine newspaper La Nacion, the explosive was hidden in a light fixture and could be activated by cellular phone.

Staff members at Teatro Gran Rex in Buenos Aires discovered the device during a routine sweep of the venue.

The explosives division of the Buenos Aires police force is currently investigating the case and has evacuated the site, closing down a large portion of Avenida Corrientes, a major thoroughfare in the Argentine capital.
