Bogota lawyer wins MBA scholarship to study in the UK

Carlos Andreas Sanchez Garcia, a 31-year-old Colombian lawyer, has won a prestigious scholarship to study at England’s Durham University.

The scholarship, which is worth up to £19,000, is awarded by the university in association with the UK’s Independent newspaper.

Sanchez Garcia will soon leave his Andean homeland for the picturesque cathedral city in the north of England, to study for a masters degree in business administration.

The Bogotan currently works at a law firm which focuses on infrastructure projects, as well as lecturing at the Universidad de los Andes, reports the Independent.
