Bogota hosts culinary fair

The 2010 Food Fair is being held October 21-24 in Bogota and will feature Mexican cuisine.

The fifth annual fair will celebrate Mexican food and culture with demonstrations from Mexican chef Elisa Mendoza, as well as tastings and cooking workshops. Visitors will have the chance to peruse the trade show and sample food from participating restaurants, delicatessens, confectionery, snack and beverage outlets.

The event expects 20,000 visitors over the next few days, around 60% of whom are part of the food industry, while the rest are lovers of gourmet food.

Entrance to the event costs COP8,000 ($4).
