The International Day of Dance will be celebrated in Bogota on Thursday, with performances of every style from ballet to break-dancing.

Enthusiasts and fans will be able to catch various dance shows around the city, in locations such as Universidad Antonio Nariño and Avenida Chile Mall amongst others, as both public and private academies present some of their best and most innovative work.

The day’s celebrations are set to culminate in an impressive dance gala, “Maestros de Maestros Danzan,” in the capital’s Jorge Eliecer Gaitan municiple theatre.

Created by dance troupe Maestros de la Danza, the show will involve performances of folk, contemporary, tango, ballet, break dance, salsa and flamenco.
