Bogota airport plans fewer delays

Bogota‘s El  International Airport announces plans to minimize delays for travelers flying into Colombia’s capital city in December

The manager added that the airport plans to have all staff present during rush hour.

Since October travelers have suffered long delays at El Dorado, which lacks the infrastructure to properly process the number of travelers that pass through it.

Between February and June 2011,  plans to relocate the baggage claim zones, add an additional two transportation conveyor belts, change the parking zones of taxis and rearrange the commercial points near the exit.

The area of immigration for international flights will double in size.

Between January and August of 2010, El Dorado processed over 12 million passengers. In 2009 it was announced that the airport will be demolished in 2012, and a new airport will be built on the site.
