BMX queen Mariana Pajon wins Colombia’s 3rd Olympic gold

Colombia’s Mariana Pajon won her country’s third Olympic medal on Friday, defeating her competitors in the Women’s BMX cycling category.

The Medellin-born Pajon was among the favorites. She’s won steady gold at the BMX World Championships since 2010 and the 2012 Olympics in London.

The BMX rider secured her country’s third gold medal after weight lifter Oscar Figueroa and triple jumper Caterine Ibarguen.
