Biden calls Uribe

Future U.S. vice-President Joe Biden called Colombian President Álvaro
Uribe Monday, Barack Obama’s transition office announced in a statement.

Biden called Uribe in a round of calls with government leaders, including European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana and Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero.

Neither the Colombian Presidency or Obama’s transition office said anything about the content of the conversation.
