Barranquilla hero saves girls from flash flood (video)

Colombia news - Barranquilla rescue

A Barranquilla man rescued two girls from a taxi that got stuck when a flash flood hit the street it was in.

Despite the extremely strong current, Juan Carlos Gonzalez, was able to approach the vehicle and rescue the girls one by one, just before the taxi was whicked away through the street.

A neighbor with a video camera recorded the event.
